This cheerful speckled colorway is inspired by the beautiful picture book, Mice Skating, which is the tale of an adorable mouse who loves winter. It's a base of mouse grey, with cheerful speckles of winter greens, neon pink, and holiday red. Choose the mini-skein pairing that matches your festive spirit!
These sets are available on my 80/20 Sock blend, which is a sturdy 3-ply, merino and nylon fingering weight yarn. Mini-skeins are a mix of blends: some are Targhee Sock and some are Winter Sock. They will all knit up together beautifully!

For socks, no. For garments and shawls that use more than one skein, yes. All of my yarn is dyed by hand in small batches of four skeins. There will be variations in color intensity and placement. I think that’s part of what makes each skein perfect – they’re not identical. If you will be using more than 1 skein in your project, alternate skeins to blend any color differences.
My yarn should always be hand-washed with a gentle wool wash and cold-water rinse.
Depending on the difference in chemistry between your local water and mine, there may be some color residue in the wash process. Washing and rinsing in cold water will help to minimize this.
Always let your knitted item air dry to prevent shrinking or felting and to keep your item looking its best.
Dear Anne, I haven't had a chance to play with everything yet, but I can say the following. Handwriting my name on your letter was a super-nice touch. I will be smelling the candle for ages before I ever decide to burn it. Yarn colors festively out of my normal zone. Can't wait to build the advent calendar. LOVE the stitch markers and their little jar. The little bowl! Couldn't figure out what the "bell" was. Did I get a llama instead? Overall - a 10. Thank you so much for the experience. Sincerely, Sydney
Very excited about this box. Have so far save the opening for closer to the Solstice.
It's such a lovely color. I haven't decided what to do with it yet, but I want to make sure it's really special.
This is the only yarn subscription I have held onto over this last year. It's always gorgeous and so incredibly soft. It's so special to me, in fact, that I keep it in a bin next to my go bag so I can grab it if we have to evacuate. I have never regretted this beautiful subscription and so look forward to receiving the yarn! 💚
Soft, beautiful colors, exquisitely speckled. I looked forward to each skein.
I've been an on and off subscriber for a few years and it's, hands down, the best one out there. Each shipment has a bundle of the SOFTEST, most luxurious cashmere blend fingering yarn in the loveliest of shades. I'm currently not a member and am begging to be let back in. ;)
Great pattern!
Lovely yarn and lovely color!
So glad I took you up on your try me offer. Will be back for more and more colors!
Hugs, Patti
I ordered this skein from Anne because I love green, and Toad Hall has a myriad of greens that read as a solid. I haven't yet knit with it but it's sitting by my knitting chair for me to fondle at will. It came with a pattern for Anne's Blossom hat and I believe that's what I will knit with it. Loveliness!
Beautiful and soft, that I can’t wait to knit.
Love, love, Anne's yarn. Color and feel are so good to knit with. The pattern for the Ursa Canis swester will look lovely on my Molly! Thanks so much for another wonderful pattern and yarn!
This is a beautiful pattern. I can’t wait to cast it on. Thank you 😋
I purchased the Targhee Sweater yarn in Herdwick. It is a beautiful variegated green, that reminds me of evergreen foliage. The yarn is wonderfully squishy and springy and round. I am really enjoying knitting with it and highly recommend Anne's lovely yarns!
Love the color and yarn base. I had trouble choosing just one so I selected three colors.
